We did it....

Today, Izzy and I stopped back by the gymnastics academy.... we decided to sign up! It sounds like so much fun and my little Izzy has so much energy, I think that she will love it. However, I thought she would love ponies too.... It is a mom and tot class so I will be able to learn things and we can practice at home. That should help us get through the cold months! We start next Wednesday... I think that we may have to go shopping and get some new sweat suits... daddy just looked at us funny when we told him. Poor Daddy!

Anyway, we took Izzy to the park tonight. Izzy and her dad climbed a small hill... then Izzy fell down the hill.

Not much else going on... think I will go ahead and go to bed. I have been going to exercise at 5:30 am this past week... I didn't realize how much I had missed that class and the ladies in it. They are having a sip-n-see on Monday and Izzy is one of the babies everyone wants to see! It really made me feel good and welcomed... Thanks... we can't wait!

Ponies, NO.. Chickens, YES!

Today, Izzy and I went on our PAT (parents as teachers) field trip. It was at C-Arrow Stables. We met Aidan, Kaleb and Kim there and it was so great to see them. Thanks for hanging out with us this morning...

We all headed over to the Ponies. Every little one LOVES a pony ride... well, every little one except Isabelle Sailing! She got on the pony and was very interested then it started to move... she then started crying. She liked looking at them but she did not enjoy the ride. So much for the pony party next year... I thought I had her birthday party all planned!

After the pony rides, we went to the petting zoo. When you first walk in you go through a chicken coop. Izzy saw those chickens and she was in LOVE. Izzy loved watching the chickens and she even chased after them. She then met up with a couple of chickens that would chase her back... that was not as funny as her chasing them. Maybe we will have a CHICKEN party next year!

It was a great day... enjoy the pictures! It was good to see you guys today... can't wait for the next time!!

Oh, Izzy and I also went somewhere that we have been thinking of going for a while now... we will tell you tomorrow after we get her all signed up.

Good Night!

Izzy would rather look in her bag than ride a pony!

HMMMMMM... Is she really sharing her ball?

Nope, didn't think so!
We are working on sharing!!

Busy Izzy...

What a weekend... I can't believe that it is already over... I REALLY can't believe that it is 8:10 and Izzy is sound asleep.

Yesterday, Izzy and I went to Hillsboro and met my mom and dad for the craft fair. We were so excited to go! We missed it the past two years... and nothing was going to keep us away this year. We had a great time and believe it or not... we didn't even spend all of our money.

After the craft fair, we had lunch at Sonic. Izzy danced and played in my mom and dad's car while watching a movie and enjoying her first hot dog. She loved it! We then went up to Abilene to see Grandma Betty and hang out with Ma and Papa. Don had to work the night before so he was home resting...

Today, we went to Izzy's friend Ruven's FIRST Birthday Party! We had a blast. All of the kids played in the sand and water and had a ball. I don't think Izzy has ever been so dirty... she had a great time. Thanks for inviting us...Happy Birthday Ruven... see you next week!

Have a good week!!!

My mom (Georgia) reading the newspaper...
OH NO...
she made the headlines!!

Last month my dad's dog, Lucy, took herself for a walk!
She didn't make it far... she went to doggy jail and my parents
had to bail her out! My mom gasped when she saw they put her
age in the paper!!

phew....

Veronica, Maddie and Andy in Wyoming!

My brother and sister-in-law (Andy and Veronica.. or Maddie's mom and dad) closed on their house today. What a relief that is for them. I know that things will calm down and start feeling like home for you now. Also, since you own your home... maybe you can have some visitors???

Not much to say tonight... I am going to go watch a movie and can't wait for tomorrow... see you in a few hours mom and dad!!

Good Night... have a great weekend everyone!

She loves it!

I remember when I would make Maddie show me her food...
Veronica would say, "You just wait, I am going to teach Izzy that!"
You are a GREAT teacher Aunt V!

These slippers are huge... but she loves them!

Koda Dog

Last night my friend Hillary called to let us know that her dog, Koda, fell down the stairs. Koda is a great dog and a great friend to Hillary. He is a Great Dane and weighs over 150 lbs. He is also very gentle and loving.

While we were visiting Hillary and her family... Izzy took to Koda. She really enjoyed hanging out with him and just watching him.

I hope that he starts feeling better soon... I know that he probably hurts really bad. He was diagnosed with a nerve disorder and that is why he probably took his tumble... Hang in there ole' boy... give him a hug for us!

First Day of School!

First Day of School... Last year! Actually, we didn't start until spring of this year...
Thanks to Kim for telling us about it!

First Day of School 2008

Izzy had a ball at school today! It is so much different than last year. There are TONS of toys and so many other little kids to play with. Izzy knew many of the others from last year but she also met some new kids and saw two from Jazzercise.

At the end of class we all sit in a circle and have snack time while her teacher reads a book! We then danced to "The FREEZE" song. We love that one and do it at home all of the time.

It was such a nice day a few of us went over to the park across the street and played for an hour or so. Izzy and I played ballerina this afternoon. I don't think that she really enjoyed it all that much... but after awhile she decided it wasn't that bad.

We played so much today... we are all going to be asleep before 9 o'clock!!!

Good night!

This is my crazy Ballerina!

She can't seem to sit in the chairs.

She LOVES to dance on the table....

My day of fun...

Today Izzy had three very special visitors! She really enjoys when people come over and see her and let her show off all of toys! Thank you for the visits today... we really enjoyed it!

Also, I want to thank Deanna for bringing us dinner, it was so yummy and thanks for making the trip down from Abilene. We can't wait to do it again!!

Izzy went to bed early tonight and I am sure that she is dreaming about her first day of school tomorrow... I know that I am excited... I hope she is also!

Enjoy the pictures of our day....

A Surprise in the mail....

I was so tired today. I am not sure why! I took a three hour nap and I am ready to go back to bed. So this will be very short tonight!

Izzy got a surprise in the mail today. I guess you can say it was her first gift from a boy! She was so cute.... she squatted down next to me while I opened it. We opened the card first and then the gift. She loved it! It was a new doll. This one came with a bottle that looks like it really has milk in it. Thank you so much baby Lucas (and Mandy and Clint). We love it. Here are some pictures of Izzy playing with her baby Lucas doll... and of course the cutest picture of baby Lucas (the real baby Lucas, isn't he cute?)

Rain, Rain, you made our day...?

Yesterday, two of my good friends from Colorado came to visit. I have known Donna and David for almost 10 years! They own a 5th wheel and travel a lot. I was so excited when they said that they were coming to Wichita. They had been here once before, and they said that it was raining then also. That was before I lived here! Anyway, we had a great dinner with them at Granite City and caught up on things!

This morning they floated on over to our house. We had planned last night to have breakfast at The Egg Crate on Tyler. When they got here we discussed it and decided that we could make it. Don said that if it were too bad we would "turn around, and not drown!" If you have never had breakfast at The Egg Crate, I highly suggest it... it was great!

My parents braved the high waters and headed down from Abilene. They said that it wasn't that bad and I had a feeling nothing would keep them from coming down today. My mom is a HUGE candle person and she was in need of a trip to Yankee Candle. Izzy went down for a nap and we looked outside and checked the radar and she lucked out cause it cleared just long enough for a quick trip Yankee. We had to go the long way around cause they had 29th closed, but she was determined to make it, and we did.

I had been cooking spaghetti and meatballs in the crock pot since 7 this morning... we all ate so much that we could not hold our eyes open. Izzy enjoyed it more than any of us! We could not believe how much she ate. Almost every bite was followed with, "mmmmmmm!"

We really enjoyed watching the rain come down... it was so great having everyone over! It was a perfect day!

What an evening...

Well, I didn't make it this morning. I didn't even set the alarm, OOOPS!

Today, Izzy and I went to her playgroup. We saw a bunch of her old friends. They all had a great time. They played, and took toys from each other, they all had to taste everything also... just thinking of the germs they all passed makes me sick and worry what she will come down with.

Izzy did make a new friend today. He was really cute. He followed Izzy everywhere she went. When Izzy would go down the slide he was right behind her. Izzy finally tried getting away and he hugged her from behind and gave Izzy.... Her First Kiss. Right there in front of his mom and me!! YIKES! They can't do that yet....

I ended up going to Jazzercise tonight. I wish I would have had a camera when I drove up to the house. Izzy and Don were both sitting in the window seat in our room looking out. It was so cute. They both waved at me. When I got in, Don told me Izzy had an accident. She had shut one of her fingers in the drawer. She showed me which one and I kissed it better. I then had to kiss all 10 fingers over and over. She really couldn't remember which finger it was. Izzy also had a hard time going potty... it was awful. She ended up using her big girl potty to go. My poor baby... That was probably TMI, but I thought I would share anyway.

Hope everyone had an OK day today. I am off to bed. We have a busy few days ahead of us.

Lunch Date....

Today, Izzy and I decided to go to lunch... Just the two of us! We had so much fun. We went to Shorty Smalls. Izzy had the grilled cheese with green beans and I had a big juicy cheeseburger and fries. She was such a good girl. She ate half of the sandwich and almost ALL of her green beans. I told our waitress that it was our first lunch together(just the two of us)at a restaurant... she told her manager and they came and took a picture of Izzy and emailed it to us. They were so nice... and they loved Izzy. The first green bean Izzy had, she tasted it and said, "mmmmmmmm." She then handed me a piece and said, "mama!" She is so funny.

Good day here....I have been taking Izzy to Jazzercise with me and she loves it there... but I am going to try and start going to Jazzercise at 5:30 am again. Izzy has her playgroup that starts again tomorrow and of course school starts next Tuesday for her, so I really need to go in the morning. It has been nice sleeping in until 7:30, I guess summer is over for us!! Wish me luck... Good Night!

Izzy at Shorty Smalls. Notice the duck? This is the top to her diaper duck... She was without him for about 5 weeks or so... now if she can not see him, she screams!!! He joined us for lunch!

Izzy misses Maddie....

Not much going on around here... Izzy is still sleeping through the night and in her own bed. Other than that we are pretty boring.

Tonight we got an email from Maddie. We have talked to them on the phone, but this was better, much better! We actually were able to see Maddie. Izzy waved at the monitor and was so happy to see her. Poor Don had to play the video over and over. We miss you guys and WE LOVE YOUR ROOM!

I have been trying to upload more pictures all night... maybe tonight!

Sunday again?

I just can't believe how fast time is flying. I remember being young and it seemed like time went by so slow... I know people always say that time flies after having kids, I just didn't think that it would be going by this fast.

Izzy has always been an active little girl, but it seems like this past week she has really become a little girl that wants to learn how everything works. She has been playing and actually trying to run... it is nice cause she is making herself really tired at night.

Izzy has finally graduated to eating "real" food. She LOVES it! Saturday afternoon she ate Chicken Pot Pie, and tonight she had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Of course, she had some other Gerber food and I am still giving her a couple of bottles a day... can't let her grow up that fast. I can't believe that my baby wants to be such a big girl already....

Oh, Happy Grandparents Day to all of you Grandma's and Grandpa's... You are all so special and we love you so much!!!

Here are pictures of Izzy's grandma's and grandpa's!!!
